Celebrating the volunteerism and remarkable dedication of over 200 mentors who serve youth through mentoring friendship, & guidance. Join us for a delicious lunch in honor of our amazing mentors and students! We are so excited to gather together and DREAM big as we soar into the future. You never know where one dream and some hard work will lead! For one young man with a dream, a simple kite became the kite that bridged two nations. LYM is celebrating 17 years of youth mentoring in Jackson County, Jefferson City, and Commerce City Schools. You will hear from past and present mentees about the impact of mentoring on their lives. Also, Dr. April Howard will be joining as our guest speaker. She has been an influential advocate and supporter of youth mentoring in our community and plans to retire from her role as Superintendent of Jackson County School System this year.
