Press release from the City of Glen Cove: Rose Melillo 2022-01-10 Temperatures are predicted to fall below 20 degrees for the next few days. Warming shelters are now open all day and night through Wednesday, Jan. 12 at the following facilities: •             Cantiague Park Administration Office, 480 W. John St., Hicksville.   •             Wantagh Park Administration Bldg., 1 King Rd., Wantagh. •             Mitchell Field Administration Bldg., 1 Charles Lindbergh Blvd., Uniondale. Glen Cove residents in need of EMERGENCY shelter, including overnight shelter, may contact the Glen Cove Police Department at 516-676-1000 or dial 911 for assistance.  We also ask that you check in on friends, neighbors and relatives, especially the elderly, to make sure that they have sufficient heating and please remember to bring your pets indoors.  If you know someone who is in need of overnight sheltering, you can contact 1-866-WARMBED (1-866-927-6233) for emergency sheltering.
