BOSTON — On Monday, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu said Boston Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday referencing frigid temperatures.
Wu explained the decision during a press conference Monday, while Boston Public Schools took to Twitter referencing "extreme cold weather," encouraging everyone to "Stay safe and warm."
Tuesday morning wind chills are going to be minus-8 degrees in Boston and as low as minus-20 in the western part of the state.

The high temperature in Boston on Tuesday is expected to be 10 degrees.
All Boston Public Schools were closed Friday due to the snowstorm that blasted most of the state with more than 8 inches of snow.
