SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests: On Jan. 6 at 7:56 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28-year-old male of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Saddle Brook, NJ in the amount of $275. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody. On Jan. 6 at 11:40 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 35-year-old male of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $100. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody. On Jan. 6 at 3:26 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 38-year-old male, Sonny Leo of Edison, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of the Essex County Sheriff's Office with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union, NJ in the amount of $750. Leo was also charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Possession of a Hypodermic Needle [2C:36-6A] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Leo was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. On Jan. 7 at 10:08 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 41-year-old male of Irvington, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $200.00 with a 10% option. Newark did release him on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Holley was issued 6 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. On Jan. 8 at 9:11 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 52-year-old male of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Cranbury, NJ in the amount of $500. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. On Jan. 8 at 3:21 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 42-year-old male of the Bronx, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paramus in the amount of $750 with a 10% option. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. On Jan. 8 at 6:18 p.m., Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle disabled in the area of County Avenue and Paterson Plank Road. During the investigation, the police arrested a 53-year-old male of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Franklin Township, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. He was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody. On Jan. 9 at 10:38 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the parking garage of 2000 Riverside Station Boulevard on a report of a male who was intoxicated and was attempting to operate a motor vehicle. During the investigation, the police arrested a 48-year-old male of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. He was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult. These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
