LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A wrong-way crash on Loudoun County Parkway on Friday evening left five people injured, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. One driver, Terrance Hanlon, was issued a DUI summons in connection with the crash. Hanlon remains hospitalized in stable condition, authorities said. A passenger in another car, a 17-year-old boy, remains hospitalized in "critical but stable condition." The crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 7. At that time, a 2011 Toyota Camry was driving the wrong way on the southbound lanes of Loudoun County Parkway, police said. The Camry then struck a 2018 Volkswagen SUV head-on. Two people in the Camry and three people in the Volkswagen were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities said they are still investigating the crash, though Hanlon was issued a summons for DUI. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is also investigating a series of thefts that were reported throughout the county over the weekend. They then entered storage units; several items were reported missing, the sheriff's office said.
