Here are the top 4 stories in Salt Lake City today: As tax season begins, the Utah Tax Commission is warning the public to take extra caution and be aware of fraudulent emails that ask for information. The Commission recently identified a surge of emails that appear to have been sent from Tax Commission addresses to appear legitimate and trick taxpayers into releasing personal information. (KUTV 2News) Pioneer Park is Downtown SLC's only major park. While it saw renovations in recent years, it's set to get even more city funds. That's a point of friction between the city council and Mayor Erin Mendenhall's $55 million Capital Projects Bond, from which Pioneer Park would receive upwards of $2 million. (buildingsaltlake.com) One of two moose seen wandering near the freeway in Parleys Canyon was safely tranquilized and relocated to a new area away from traffic that could prove disastrous to both animals and driers. The other moose was unable to be sedated since it retreated to an area where the scrub oak was too thick to track.
