Here are the top 3 stories in Colorado Springs today: In a meeting that lasted over two hours, the Colorado Springs City Council decided not to fill the vacant seat with candidate Stephannie Fortune. Over 100 people attended the meeting and many expressed that they would prefer a candidate who has lived in the area longer than Fortune, who moved to the area two months earlier. (KRDO)Parents with children in Colorado Springs School District 11 have expressed their concern over social media posts that were made by D11 Board of Education members. The posts were made on personal social media accounts though they are public, and express negative and false information about the COVID-19 vaccination. (FOX21News.com)For the first time in over 50 years, the Colorado Springs Debutante Ball featured debutantes from two years. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 ball was canceled. This year, debutantes from 2020 and 2021 were recognized together.
