JOLIET, IL — Joliet police arrested a 50-year-old homeless woman Sunday night at the Clarion Hotel property, 411 South Larkin Ave., following a disturbance call. The incident leading to the arrest of Imelda Barajas happened around 8:40 p.m. She was arrested on charges of criminal trespass and obstructing a peace officer. The Clarion Hotel notified Joliet police that it had a woman refusing to leave their property. "Officers determined that Barajas was not a hotel guest and had been in the lobby of the hotel for several hours," police reports show. "Hotel staff and responding officers asked Barajas to leave to which she refused. While placing Barajas into custody, she began pulling away from officers in an attempt to defeat the arrest. Officers were able to place Barajas into custody without further incident." Joliet police said that Barajas was later released on an I-Bond.
