The Glutathione Revolution is here, and Dr. Nayan Patel of Auro Wellness Shares the Facts About the Powerful Supplement That Transforms Health and Increases Vitality. Not all glutathione supplements are the same; Patel compares four forms of glutathione supplement delivery La Habra, CA – (Jan 10th, 2022): Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant naturally occurring in the body, and for years Dr. Nayan Patel, PharmD, has been at the forefront of glutathione research. This important detoxifier has the power to revitalize the body, transform health, and even aid with weight loss, as outlined in Patel’s book “The Glutathione Revolution.” Glutathione levels affect overall health, including immune system function, brain health, and athletic performance. With age, natural levels of this much-needed antioxidant are reduced, so supplements are ideal for boosting levels. The key however is understanding that not all glutathione supplements are created equal, and Patel offers insight by outlining four available glutathione (GSH) supplement forms, including Auro Wellness patented Glutaryl and Glutaryl+. “As glutathione declines in our body naturally with age, we need it even more. Glutathione has a unique ability to combat all the symptoms of stress and works with the body on a cellular level so glutathione supplements become important for optimal health,” says Patel, Founder of Auro Wellness. “It’s important to know the difference between the supplements and what works best for you.” Forms of Glutathione Supplements: 1. Oral glutathione supplement The oral capsule is the least expensive form of glutathione and is most abundantly used. It is easy to make - consisting of simply a capsule with glutathione and some fillers. It is also very convenient, and an added plus, the capsule masks the sulfur order of glutathione. The problem: glutathione is a protein, so it will be broken down into amino acids when ingested. Often, the oral capsule cannot help increase glutathione levels to impact the body. 2. Liposomal glutathione supplement This is the most popular form of a glutathione supplement because the glutathione molecule is encapsulated and protected from the environment and stays in its reduced form for a more extended period. The end delivery is still through the mouth - either oral or sublingual just like the oral glutathione supplement. It will however not be fully absorbed as some of it will be broken down by the digestive tract. Liposomal is created to help prevent some of that from happening, however it is not 100%. In addition, this form of supplement is more expensive. Making liposomal glutathione requires machines to process the liposomes through a tiny opening to create a true liposome which is very difficult. Hence, most liposomal glutathione supplements in the United States today are microemulsions, not true liposomes.  3. IV glutathione supplement Patel concludes that this was the far superior way to take a glutathione supplement for nearly twenty years. Taken in IV form, glutathione levels rise immediately. Unfortunately, the glutathione taken through an IV has a very short half-life, and levels are back to normal in the body within 10 minutes to 2 hours. Because it isn’t realistic to do IV therapies every two hours, IV glutathione supplements don’t serve people that need to be treated on an ongoing basis for conditions like Parkinson's, autoimmune disease, or high inflammation issues.  4. Topical glutathione supplement There are multiple types of topical glutathione supplements available, with the technology allowing the glutathione to travel through the skin barrier in a small enough form. Patel and Auro Wellness discovered new patented technology to make a topical supplement that provides the highest efficacy of any glutathione supplement. The Auro GSH™ technology reduces the glutathione, passing through the skin to repair cells, reducing oxidative stress. The supplements, Glutaryl and Glutaryl+, are the first glutathione products to use sub-nanotechnology to deliver GSH in a highly absorbable form. They are made to stabilize the glutathione in the reduced form in the water-based system and deliver GSH quickly. The advantages are that it is stable and convenient to apply anywhere and at any time. Importantly, it has a longer half-life, with the topical lasting about 4 hours and is possible to use every 4 hours around the clock. However, dosing every 4 hours is generally not needed. The glutathione can also recycle itself with the help of other vitamins like Vitamin C, ensuring the body maintains the highest level of glutathione. The minor drawback is that the glutathione odor is not masked, and the topical can feel sticky and tacky. However, the smell and the sticky feel both go away in a couple of minutes and the wearer can wash off the topical in 45 minutes, still reaping the full benefits.
