SOUTH SAINT PAUL, MN — South Saint Paul Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a stolen Illinois woman's van, which had her dog Jasper inside.
The van, a silver 2013 Chrysler Town & Country, was stolen Saturday, police said in a Facebook post. The van had Illinois license plates with the number AH26052, police said.
"As history has shown us many vehicles stolen during the cold weather months are used for transportation and then dumped," police said. "We are asking you to take look outside and up and down your block."
According to a report by The St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Illinois woman was in town with Jasper for a dog show. Her van was stolen outside of Envision Hotel on 701 Concord St., the report said.
Police shared a photo Monday of a man who may know something about the theft.
Anybody who recognizes the man in the photo is asked to contact Investigator Matthew Case at 651.554.3311 or message South Saint Paul Police Department via its Facebook page.
