Description
WESTLAKE, OH — A car stopped on Wonneta Parkway, with its brake lights flashing, drawing the attention of police on early Thursday.
At 4:20 a.m., a 911 caller reported seeing a suspicious car on Wonneta. The car's brake lights were flashing and there appeared to be shouting coming from the car, police said.
When officers arrived, the 30-year-old driver was awake but either couldn't or wouldn't talk, according to Westlake police. There was Taco Bell food strewn around his car, police added.
The driver was asked to step out of the car and was then field tested. He thought he was in Lakewood, he told police.
Officers determined he was intoxicated, police said, and took the man into custody. He was taken to Westlake Jail, where he tested 2.5 times over the legal limit for blood-alcohol.
The driver was later turned over to a sober friend, police said.
