ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE Derek Edward Baran, 44, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested at 11:41 a.m. Dec. 30, at Arlington Park, 1700 W. Oakton Street. Bond was set at $1,000 and a court date of Feb. 24 was assigned. Jonathan Salgado, 21, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level over .08, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, and was arrested at 11:18 p.m. Dec. 31, in the 400 block of E. Algonquin Road. Bond was set at $10,000 and a court date of Feb. 7 was assigned. POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE Christian Luciano Calalang, 39, is accused of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, having warrants for violation of a bail bond, and unauthorized delivery of a fugitive, and was arrested at 6:56 p.m. Jan. 4, at E. Campbell Street and N. Dunton Avenue. Bond was set at $50,000 and a court date of Jan. 26 was assigned. CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT Paul R. Castelli, 45, is accused of criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual abuse, and was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 2, in the 2300 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. Coffaro, 64, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a vehicle with revoked registration, and was arrested at 6:10 p.m. Jan. 5, at E. Palatine and E. Rand roads. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Feb. 9 was assigned. Appreona S. Sullivan, 28, is accused of driving on a suspended license, and was arrested at 10:06 p.m. Jan. 2, at E. Algonquin Road and S. Embers Lane. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Jan. 19 was assigned. LAST WEEK: Thief Steals Expensive Meds From Jewel CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY Joseph Cubellis, 34, is accused of criminal damage to property, and was arrested at 4:40 p.m. Dec. 31, in the 2100 block of S. Goebbert Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of Feb. 24 was assigned. VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND Alberto Fernandez, 26, is accused of violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 8:25 a.m. Jan. 3, at the Elgin Police Department. Bond was set at $25,000 and a court date of Jan. 20 was assigned. Octavio Torres, Jr., 28, is accused of having a warrant out of DuPage County for violation of a bail bond, and was arrested at 1:06 a.m. Dec. 30, at W. Algonquin and S. Arlington Heights roads. DOMESTIC BATTERY Jalen A. Hill, 22, is accused of domestic battery/bodily harm, and was arrested at 10:05 a.m. Dec. 30. Bond was set at $2,000 and a court date of Feb. 9 was assigned. RECKLESS DRIVING Justin Romano, 21, is accused of unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, speeding 35+ mph over the speed limit, driving on a suspended license, resisting/obstructing a peace officer, obstructing identification, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, having a warrant for violation of a bail bond, and was arrested at 2:20 p.m. Jan. 3, at Rand Road and E. Thomas Avenue. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Feb. 24 was assigned. CRIMINAL TRESPASS Rami Shakatreh, 26, is accused of criminal trespass to a building, possession of drug paraphernalia, and was arrested at 10:56 a.m. Jan. 3, at the Wingate Inn, 2100 block of S. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of Jan. 3 was assigned. BATTERY Dartagnan J. Young, 35, is accused of battery/making physical contact, and was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 30, at The Residences, 400 block of E. Seegers Road. Bond was set at $100 and a court date of Feb. 24 was assigned.
