DETROIT — Michigan State Police closed a portion of Interstate 75 to investigate a possible freeway shooting Sunday night. Officials said the River Rouge Police Department told them a man said he was shot at Sunday night on northbound Interstate 75 between Schaefer Road and Springwells Street in Southwest Detroit near River Rouge. The man said a dark pickup truck shot at him from the passenger side while he was driving in the left lane, officials said. The man was transported to a local hospital for non life threatening injuries. Police said they searched the freeway for evidence and are attempting to verify the victims story.
