SPRINGVILLE, AL —Classes at Springfield High School resumed as normal Monday morning after students had been kept out of the building earlier in the day due to a bomb threat, the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office said.
The sheriff's office said it was notified Monday after a threat to the school was received by the St. Clair Board of Education.
A search of the school was conducted by the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office, Springville Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad K9 unit, and no devices were found, according to the sheriff's office.
"The terrorist threat is under investigation by the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office and the Springville Police Department," the sheriff's office said in a statement.
