We are a facility that provides in home pet euthanasia, pet aquamation services and pet memorial products located in Gardena, CA seeking a Veterinary Aquamation Assistant to join our team. Candidates must be compassionate, respectful, detail-oriented and comfortable working and handling aquamation equipment and deceased pets. The aquamation assistant is responsible for all aspects of the aftercare process, including, but not limited to: operating & maintaining the equipment, cleaning the crematorium, following safety protocols, planning and executing aquamation operations and ensuring all company standard practices and procedures are followed. Position is full-time, hourly rate plus overtime opportunity with requiring some schedule flexibility. Responsibilities and Duties Maintain and operate all aspects of the crematorium, including cleaning Thorough record keeping for a smooth aftercare process from beginning to end Driving to and from hospitals and aftercare facility Additional duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills Self-motivated with excellent time management Detail-oriented - focus on completing assigned tasks in a competent and thorough manner All documentation/paperwork must be accurate, organized and legible Required high level of integrity, ethics and compassion for care of deceased pets Must be familiar with basic technological equipment Ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed Must be a team player with strong verbal, written, and communication skills High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to lift approximately 100lbs+, and be able to bend, twist as needed throughout shift Must submit to and pass a pre-employment background check Must adhere to all company policies, procedures, and established safety guidelines Good driving record Desired Experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to understand written and spoken English; Bilingual is a plus Experience in the death care industry a plus but not required Benefits Medical Paid vacation and holidays Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud with exposure to hot surfaces and temperatures, chemicals and dust; proper PPE must always be worn. This position is highly physical including long standing hours and exposure to pet bodily fluids and cremated remains.'
