We’re a professional married couple with a 3 year old daughter. We have demanding schedules, so we bounce from work, to childcare, to household chores, and back to work again. We need more time for ourselves and we think a Mother’s Helper can make that happen.
The mothers helper will assist with light household chores and caregiving to our daughter. This job will start at about 4 hours twice a week (~8 hrs/week), and involve an evening of babysitting once every week or two weeks (4-5 hours). These hours will likely expand as our family expands. Occasionally we would also be looking for short term, live-in care if we go away for a weekend or something.
Ideally the helper would arrive in the morning around 9 to do a couple hours of chores and then pick up our daughter from daycare in the evening for another couple hours of work as a caregiver.
The responsibilities will include:
Picking up our daughter from daycare at 5pm and providing childcare until 6-7 pm twice a week. (We will often be at home at this time, too)
Laundry
Tidying/organizing (We have a cleaning lady once a week, so deep cleaning not necessary)
Grocery/general shopping
Taking out trash/Glass Recycling runs
Scheduled car maintenance appointments
Drop off dog for grooming appointments
The ideal candidate is:
Someone who has professional childcare experience with references
Talented with children with excellent judgement
100% reliable
Looking for a long term engagement
Comfortable with a very large, fluffy (and a little drooly) dog.
