Rehoming my Mini Aussie Shepherd

Description

I am looking to rehome my dog. I would like to find a loving owner/family that understands this breed of dog and can provide a great and stimulating environment for him. Ozzie is an 8-month-old Mini Aussie shepherd, and we are not well matched. He is energetic and athletic, and I am, well, not. He is very friendly, loving and loves to please. He is also great with kids (I have two younger kids) and doesn't bite, although he will "play bite". The problem is that Ozzie goes and goes and goes. If he's bored (which is most of the time), he can be obnoxious. He will chew up anything that resembles a toy, and if you give him a stuffed animal, he will have it drawn, quartered and unstuffed in short order. I know that most of this is puppy energy, but I think that a lot of it is just his breed. What he really needs is a younger owner who loves to walk - a lot (Ozzie does well on walks)! He would probably do well even on a jog. If he has a big backyard to run around in, that would be ideal, and other dogs as playmates would also be good for him (although he does annoy the heck out of my cat... they are still friends though). Basically, he needs someone who understands his high-energy needs and can accommodate him. He also loves tugging and is strong! I've built up my arms a bit playing tug with him. I've struggled with this decision for a while but feel that this is the best thing for both of us. Although I will be sad when he's gone, I know that dogs adapt well, and we will both be happier in the long run. I am asking $200 for a rehoming fee. He is up to date with all shots and has been neutered. Serious inquiries only please!
