Currently looking for a bass player, preferably early to mid 30’s for a band that’s just starting (2 guitarists and 1 drummer) Not a hobby project, or cover band. Nothing wrong with that, just looking to do more than gig around town is all. High skill level is of far lesser importance than a capacity to collaborate, and an interest in how to best serve the songs. To sidestep any confusion, style and your preferred influences are factors. (Metal, classic rock, bluegrass, and jam music are fine genres, just not at all the kind of music we’re looking to make) Only mentioning this so not to waste anyone’s time. Respectfully. The Walkmen, Ambulance Ltd, blur, Scott Walker, PJ Harvey, The Smiths, Pulp, Depeche Mode, Grizzly bear, The Kinks, The National, Paul Simon, Bloc Party, Jenny Lewis, Klaxons, Fleet Foxes, The Replacements, Warpaint, Tom Waits, The Strokes, Metronomy, The Internet, Vampire Weekend, Portishead, The Cribs, Two door cinema club, Of Montreal, Passion pit, Radiohead, The Drums, Joyce Manor, Arcade Fire, TV on the radio, Talking Heads, The Pixies…..are nothing alike, but broadly, if you’re a fan of some of those artists, play bass, and are looking to make interesting music, feel free to hit us up.
