Art exhibition showcasing the entire set of works officially licensed by the Vatican Museums MICHELANGELO - A DIFFERENT VIEW The Greater Columbus Convention Center welcomes the general public to the most famous fresco in the world, Michelangelo – A Different View. The exhibit will be on display at the Greater Columbus Convention Center from December 22, 2021 – January 23, 2022. Images advertised are from a previous Michelangelo - A Different View exhibit in Europe. Rome comes to Columbus using state of the art technology! Licensed by the Vatican Museums, the ceiling paintings from the Sistine Chapel have been enhanced to experience up close. In this exhibit, visitors will be given the chance to engage with the artwork seeing every detail, brushstroke, and color of Michelangelo’s frescoes. Images advertised are from a previous Michelangelo - A Different View exhibit in Europe. Michelangelo - A Different View is the only exhibition showcasing the entire set of works . On 50+ pieces, including the Last Judgement and the Creation of Adam, this experience allows visitors to view superb reproductions of the elaborate paintings of the Florentine master from a short distance, meaning visitors will be able to appreciate fully the beauty and fine detail. Michelangelo encountered these works before starting work on the vaulted ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. A QR code will be scanned from your smartphone at the beginning of the exhibit to launch the web based audio guide. All tickets must be purchased in advance - No sales at the door. Tickets are non-refundable once the scheduled time has started. ------------------------------------------------ CODE OF CONDUCT You MUST REGISTER (i.e. reserve your space) via Eventbrite to enjoy this event at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. You will be asked to show your Eventbrite Registration at the door. This will allow us to safely manage capacity. Hand sanitizing stations will be located inside Union Station Ballroom. Soap and water can be found in all of the bathrooms located in the facility. The Greater Columbus Convention Center is in the center of the country, the center of Ohio, the center of Columbus, and it's surrounded by restaurants, shops, hotels and entertainment venues.
