Hello! School of Rock located in Bedford, NY is currently hiring part-time teachers for Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums and Keyboard. Please send a cover letter and resume in order to apply. Pay is based on experience. Teachers need not source their own students and are paid for any 45min gap in their schedule. Our goal is to inspire kids to rock onstage and in life. From lessons to the rehearsal room and finally the stage we guide students through all the aspects of being a musician. We teach them how to play iconic songs in detail so they can perform it with a band and understand the concepts and techniques behind it. The new and revolutionary School of Rock Method App has well over a thousand transcriptions including tab and standard notation. Students can slow down the recording to practice, loop sections and record themselves for teacher assessment and receive a computer generated score in accuracy, pitch and rhythm. A series of five books per instrument was developed with Hal Leonard that contains technical exercises, theory and sight-reading.
