Let's do a black metal thing!

I'm a bassist, looking to start something that uses black metal (lots of haunted tremolo picking flavor) as a jumping-off point. I don't want to get hung up on what black metal is/isn't, but I want to have the general idea as our inspiration and then see what that pulls out of us. I'm relatively new to the idea that I even like black metal, but I've been soaking it up like a sponge. I'm really loving old Darkthrone, lots of Spectral Wound...your hybrid stuff like Black Breath, it's great. I'm in my late 30s and I play bass 6-7 days a week. I'm the kind of sicko that lugs a bass along on vacation. I have my own reliable gear, transportation, and a practice space. Absolutely no right-wing, nationalist kinda stuff. Not that flavor of black metal. Hard pass. Don't @ me.
