Due to unforeseen circumstances, we're looking to rehome our 4-year-old Female Golden Labrador Suzi. She is a very loyal and trustworthy companion but in need of someone who can handle her energy. I initially adopted her from a Shelter in Columbia SC, she had suffered abuse and mistreatment from her previous owners. This being said she is very timid and nervous around new people/dogs, but it just takes introducing her to them to get her out of it. She is very well housetrained, knows basic commands, and loves long walks and playing fetch. However, she has slight food aggression and can get anxious if she doesn't want you touching her when she's sleepy. She would serve well as a guard dog as she is very protective over the ones she loves and wary of strangers. She would thrive in the care of someone who has land, or at least a fenced-in yard where she can run and play.
