I started the Crystal Festival in 2014 at Rockpick Legend Co. Growing up I was part of three interlocking worlds. One that collected minerals for the atomic value. Considering only their strict chemical composition, and crystal structure. The second world collected minerals for what maybe hidden inside them, and wished to cut, carve, or open them! The third world collected minerals for their energy, joy, and help that each mineral provided them. These interlocking worlds all drawn to the same minerals, rocks, and fossils, all for their own reasons and each largely ignoring the others. I wanted one place that everyone could come together and add to their collection for any reason they wanted! A place these three worlds could celebrate together, network, and learn from each-other. Not another rock show, not a lapidary meet-up, not a health fair. I wanted my worlds to collide in one big fantastic way!
