This cat was unfortunately surrendered to the Humane Society on December 28 along with four of his household cat friends. Why? Because the family decided that they had way too many pets so they surrendered five cats. Daryl has FIV which means he was bitten by another infected cat earlier in his life( Mating and biting is how it is passed by cats and only cats can get FIV (DOES NOT TRANSFER TO PEOPLE)) They can live a long and healthy life -it just means they have a weak immune system so do not let him outside to eat squirrels! He is totally healthy and a FIV cat can live with other cats. In fact he likes other cats and dogs also. He is about 6 years old and is a medium sized handsome Orange tabby.
He went to live in a cage at Palm Coast Petsmart 24/7 on January 9 and wonders when he will get out of a cage and into a home that is going to actually keep him.
Please come rescue this resilient guy!
His photo is pretty bad because it was his intake photo we will be posting a better one in a day or two.
