Come join fellow Anthem residents to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr . Come join fellow residents as we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr by building relationships, giving to our community, and helping those in need. Greetings at 10AM followed by a 1 mile unity walk and service opportunity.Learn about the Youth for Troops Plastic Mats for Homeless Veterans program. Bring plastic shopping bags for project. Learn about & donate to the local St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Bring canned goods to walk for onsite donation.Bring gently used clothes/shoes for onsite donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters.Canned Goods & supplies requested: Canned pineapple, fruit cocktail, peaches, pasta sauce, tuna and chicken. The Pantry is also in need of paper towels, tissue paper and shampoo. How should I prepare? Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Stations will be set up to collect your canned goods (see above), plastic shopping bags, & gently used clothing and/or shoes after the Walk. See you at the event! Free Event, Tickets Not Required
