He is the son of the late Isiah and Annie Bell Wilson. During Mr. Wilson’s formative years, his father served in the US Navy and the family moved about every two to three years as the elder Mr. Wilson was assigned different duty stations. Mr. Wilson’s early education began in “dependent schools” at various military bases; and, then 6th grade through graduation from high school was completed in Jacksonville Fl. Mr. Wilson received a BA Degree from The University of Florida and a MA Degree from The University of Central Florida. He is currently Licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board Certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. On May 7, 1971, Mr. Wilson married Mrs. Shirley Ann Bond Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson are the proud parents of four children and of ten grandchildren. Mr. Wilson began working in the counseling profession in 1975, while serving in the military. Upon discharge from the military, Mr. Wilson continued in pursuit of a career in counseling by attending UF & UCF. Since discharge, Mr. Wilson has worked at private & non-profit psychiatric hospitals & community mental health centers, in jails and prisons, and in private practice, as well as in consultation and in training.
