Join us on Sunday, January 16 at 4pm for a solo bass performance by the one and only John Ferrara! If you haven’t experienced John Ferrara live, before, get ready for an exhibition of audial artistry of the highest caliber! A master of the bass guitar, his hybridization of slapping, finger style, and tapping techniques creates mind-bending soundscapes capable of transporting the listener from transcendent, introspective points of serenity to ecstatic, primal chaos all within the span of one song. His work with the bands Consider the Source and the John Ferrara/Seth Moutal Duo has seen him display his virtuosity across almost every conceivable genre of music, as well as much of the country and world, leaving jaws on the floor long after the hum of the amps has faded. This is going to be a performance unlike any we have had at the cafe and we’re beyond excited for you all to be there with us! Jason Shearer will open things up with a set of original music.
