Think baby shower but for businesses! This event is the first opportunity our community will gather to learn more about Disrupshion Amour Studios and have an opportunity to ask Angel questions, and contribute gifts and advice. **Why host a business shower?** By necessity, great entrepreneurs are scrappy and can achieve a lot with very little. Angel has singlehandley created and expanded Disrupshion Magazine over the last 3+ years. But it takes money to make money and the lack of funding for early stage startups - especially for Black women - is a real issue. Black women-led startups raise an average of $42,000 compared to the average initial round of funding for all startups which is $1.3 million. That’s a huge deficit and impacts how quickly a startup can grow. The playing field is not level. Capital is the life-blood of any business and by throwing a business shower, we can rally behind a high-achieving entrepreneur and support her with with our time, connections, and gifts so that she has the opportunity to thrive.
