Pedestrian Killed In Manassas Car Accident: Police

MANASSAS, VA — A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car on Sudley Road on Saturday night, according to the Prince William County Police Department. A 51-year-old Manassas man was driving a 2006 Toyota Highlander south on Sudley Road between Donegan Drive and Sudley Manor Drive when he struck the pedestrian who was waking in the street, according to police. First responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim's identity will be released once confirmed by the medical examiner's office and first of kin has been notified, police said. Neither alcohol nor drugs were involved in the accident, and speed wasn't a factor either, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
