Hi, I’m taking a class called Disability, Diversity & Media. As an assignment, I need to interview someone by asking them the following questions: How does having a disability impact your day-to-day life? Are there areas of your life that are more impacted than others? How do you feel that society treats you and other people with disabilities? Do you think that media, for example, TV, movies, Internet, accurately and fairly represent people with disabilities? How would you want the media to represent people with disabilities differently? What would you like people without disabilities to know about people with disabilities? I personally would like to interview someone with a physical disability who is wheelchair bound because I have a disability but it’s not visible or physical and I’d like to learn more about what it’s like to use a wheelchair in day to day life. If you or anyone you know would like to do the interview with me, please respond. Interview would need to be conducted over the telephone and recorded for transcription purposes as part of the assignment. Sorry I can not pay you for your time or troubles. This would have to be a volunteer situation.
