Installer/Service Technician Budget Blinds of Downton Pittsburgh – Lawrenceville, PA Job Summary Budget Blinds of Downtown Pittsburgh seeks a professional window covering technician for either a part-time or full-time position (40-hrs/wk) Responsibilities and Duties We are looking for an Installer/Service Technician who can: • Install blinds, shades, shutters, and other window treatments • Perform window treatment repairs • Receive customer payments • Maintain proper installation paperwork • Clean customer premises of any installation materials, dust, etc • Assist in warehouse organization for customer products and installation materials • Use basic computer programs (email) and Microsoft tools • Maintain organized van and warehouse • Recycle packaging materials Qualifications and Skills Installer/Service Technician Skills, Abilities, and/or Experience that make a successful candidate: • Pride in work and work ethic • Prior general workmanship and hand tool skills from any industry. • Ability to learn and handle new technology as introduced to the window covering and installation industry. • Troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills. • Self-directed and able to work independently. • Team player in working with Budget Blinds staff. • Coachable/trainable and willing to learn new skills and techniques. • Friendly, courteous, pleasant with all types of people. • Professional appearance. • Punctual and dependable. • Good communication skills (verbal and written) when interfacing with all levels of Budget Blinds staff and clients. • Current and valid driver's license. • Ability to pass a background check. • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and can climb up and down ladders. • High school diploma or equivalent completed education level.
