Description
I could use a small amount of support on my goals, and am willing to support others. (I used to run goal-attainment support groups.)
Here's what I propose: It can be done by email, text message, phone call or Zoom. We'd share twice a week, perhaps Sundays and Wednesdays. In each report we'd share briefly on at least two things. 1) Specific progress made in the last few days (since the last report) and 2) Specific plans for the next few days. When I did the groups we also would optionally share on some small appreciation that we had in the last few days. That makes it a bit more positive, pleasant and personal.
Some background on me: I'm 64 years old. Male. I was a research chemist, also a director of a small nonprofit. One of my goal areas is finishing a non-fiction book that I'm writing. Another goal area is cutting down on time-wasting activities.
I think that in general I'd prefer email or text, since then we don't have to be communicating simultaneously. But a brief call or Zoom contact once or twice a week would be okay too.
It usually helps to set a four-month goal, and then break it down into "bite-sized" efforts. Let's start with a four-week commitment, but if it doesn't work out, that's fine.
If interested, please write and share a bit about yourself and goals! Obviously, you don't have to be living in Pittsburgh to do this,
Tim C.
