Not sure what history book r.l. reads but the one I am familiar with shows our founders to be men who wanted to throw off the chains of complete government control of their lives and were confident enough in their own abilities to believe they were the better judges of how they wanted to live their lives. They did not feel the need to be shepherded by government. They were confident in their own abilities. Everything that today's liberal is not. To make the claim that today's liberal is the same as the liberals of 76 is as believable as to claim that the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. That may be the next line of bs that their handlers will feed them just to show the complete control they have over the minds of liberals.
