USF 2022 Teaching Symposium
From Neuroscience Research to Classroom: Create Expert Learners and Critical Thinkers.
This year's USF Teaching Symposium will feature a keynote presentation and a workshop led by Heather Collins, PhD. Collins is a cognitive neuroscientist and speaker with expertise in how the brain learns, remembers, and thinks about information. The title of her presentation/workshop is "From Neuroscience Research to Classroom: Create Expert Learners and Critical Thinkers."
She empowers business professionals, faculty, and students through brain science by creating power thinkers, expert learners, and catapulting confidence. She has given three popular TEDx talks and has authored 30+ scientific publications in academic journals, such as the New England Journal of Medicine as well as popular press articles on applying cognitive neuroscience research to professional and academic settings.
