National and world-wide experts in trauma ministry and service coming to Buffalo!
In the world today, many people have experienced war, ethnic/racial conflict, natural disasters, car accidents, domestic abuse, crime and other events that have left them wounded inside. The Church is called to help its members who are suffering, as well as being agents of care to the world.
After a light continental breakfast at 8:30, there will be 4 presentations starting at 9:00am by Drs. Langberg and Monroe on the nature of trauma and the church's response, including the abuse of authority in the church. One of the presentations will also include, "Care for the Caregiver."
At the end of the program, there will be a time of Q & A as well as potential ways to bring trauma care service to your church or organization.
A boxed lunch will be provided. While this is a free event, registration is required. A Free Will offering will be taken.
Dr. Langberg's books will be for sale. Two of her most recent are, "Suffering and the Heart of God," and "Redeeming Power. Understanding Authority and Abuse in the Church."
