Get Lit!'s Harry Potter Trivia is back!! Help us raise funds for our festival and wow us with your wizarding wits! 2-4 Potterheads per team. Lord Voldemort returns, and so does Get Lit! for our fourth year of Harry Potter Trivia at Iron Goat Brewing! You can help us raise funds for the Get Lit! Festival—a four day celebration of literature that has been a community tradition in Spokane for 24 years—by joining us for a fun-filled afternoon of Potter Trivia this Super Bowl Sunday, February 13th! *Note that there are three session options available throughout the day to accomodate the Super American Quidditch Match. Gather your team of 2 to 4 and prepare for the ultimate battle of wizarding wits. Tickets are $10 per person, you may purchase up to 4 tickets per team. Due to COVID 19 we cannot mix and match houses, so you must bring your own teammates and wear a mask when not eating and drinking. Session 1 @ 11:30 am-1:30 pm Session 2 @ 2:30 pm-4:30 pm Session 3 @ 5:30 pm-7:30 pm *Each wizard can only attend one session to allow everyone a chance to participate. While you scribble your answers, you can enjoy delicious specialty food and drink provided by Iron Goat Brewing. They will even be creating a special non-alcoholic butter beer just for our event! The winning team will receive a special Potter/Get Lit! prize pack, a delicious Iron Goat appetizer, and all of the Harry Potter trivia glory. Didn't win the big prize? Don't be a Myrtle! There a few individual prizes to be won as well. Wizards of all ages are welcome to attend, but wizards 12 and older must purchase a ticket. *Note that this trivia is based on the books and not the films.* Participation in this Harry Potter trivia fundraiser directly supports EWU's Get Lit! Programs. Your contribution helps us to present 35+ free and low-cost events featuring over 60 authors from our region and beyond, at the annual Get Lit! Festival. These events help support creative writing students, local authors, and the lit-loving public by bringing writers from all over the country to speak, teach, and inspire here in Spokane. We thank you and appreciate you for your contribution to the community. Get Lit! Programs is a non-profit literary arts organization housed within Eastern Washington University. Our program is responsible for Get Lit! Festival, the region’s only annual week-long literary festival. Get Lit! has grown over the last twenty years from a single day of back-to-back readings to a four day celebration of literature that brings a diverse line up of highly sought-after authors to our region, while also highlighting our talented local literary community. The festival offers free and low cost readings, writing workshops, craft classes, poetry slams, panel discussions, literary happy hours, and much more. Get Lit! Programs also runs Writers in Residence, a program that places published authors in local schools to teach 10-week creative writing courses to students who may not normally have access to a creative writing curriculum. It is our mission, both in our festival programming and our educational outreach, to advance the arts, celebrate diversity, and empower creativity.
