6th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at Zenzele Consignment Monday, January 17, 2022, from noon to 3 pm, the All African People's Development & Empowerment Project (AAPDEP) will be hosting our 6th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at Zenzele Consignment, 2205-F University Drive in Huntsville and would like to formally extend you an invitation! We will have a program honoring the true legacy of Dr. MLK Jr. and will offer volunteers an opportunity to learn more about our mission and engage in mass community outreach for our healthcare programs & Zenzele Consignment. The All African People's Development and Empowerment Project is a 501c-3 organization whose mission is to collectivize the vast skills of Africans around the world in order to establish community-based development projects that improve the quality of life for African people everywhere while promoting economic self-reliance and political self-determination as key to genuine sustainable development. Zenzele Consignment is the economic development institution through which people can buy and consign new and gently used traditional African garments, revolutionary apparel, African art, artisanal jewelry, natural personal care products, small housewares, literature, and other products in an effort to support and sustain the critical African-led educational, agricultural and healthcare programs of AAPDEP in Africa and African communities in various locations around the world. Join Zenzele Consignment & the All African People's Development & Empowerment Project (AAPDEP)! Lunch will be provided to all of our volunteers. Register today to join our outreach efforts on MLK Day 2022! Zenzele Consignment is the primary economic development initiative of the All African People’s Development & Empowerment Project (AAPDEP) which sustains AAPDEP's critical programs that build dual and contending power for African communities wherever we are located, all over the world. Zenzele Consignment serves as AAPDEP’s National Headquarters where the community, our donors and supporters can come and see the work that we do everyday which contributes to the overall mission of AAPDEP. We hope that with this new insight into our work we can build AAPDEP’s membership base, donors and supporters for the overall mission and vision of the organization. We need more volunteers than ever; one of our goals is to use this institution to build volunteer and intership programs that will help to bring the community into the work of AAPDEP around economic self-reliance and political self-determination. Our store is designed to cater to the new generation of forward thinkers, consumers who believe in a sustainable world and those who are on the cutting edge of new trends and styles.
