Celebrate Newnan's unqiue relationship and sisterhood with Ayr, Scotland through song and dance at a concert chocked full of Scottish lore.
In this, Newnan's 6th Annual Robert Burns Weekend, and sponsored by the Newnan Cultural Arts Commission, singers, muscians, dancers, poets and more take the stage at the Wadsworth Auditorium to thrill audience members with a trip through Scotland in song and dance.
Revel in the excitement of the arresting sword dance, swoon at "My Luves Like a Red, Red Rose," marvel at the legends and lore that make Scotland so mysterious and majestic. Before the show starts, get an eyeful of stylish tartan plaid displayed in a variety of ways on models of all ages as they grace the stage during the "Tartan n' Tweed" fashion show which kicks things off at 7 PM.
Why all the fuss about Scotland in Newnan? Because Newnan Burns Weekend is an opportunity to celebrate it's unique relationship and Sister City bond with Ayr, Scotland which became a reality over 20 years ago.
Be a part of this annual event that is always a thrill and the most fun you'll have this winter!
