Single Source Utility is a Fools Game I'm following up on my previous post about public gas infrastructure and equal access to all public utilities. To depend on electricity for everything is like putting all your eggs in one basket. When the big storm hits, and you know it will, loosing power for long periods of time can be devastating... especially in the middle of winter. Tonight we lost power here in Severn, luckily we have public gas. Our gas fireplace and gas hot water heater were unaffected. We just lit a few candles and we were good. The only thing was the refrigerator, but that lasts many hours before any problems. To sum it up, the government's push to discontinue fossil fuel infrastructure in the name of green energy is very foolish, reckless and wrong. government control is increasing and out of control.
