2yr old Pittte needs immediate home or will be put down in shelter

Just 2 years old Shy but incredibly loving dog Handsome Antler is a blockhead Pitty who is just 2 years old weighing 59 pounds. He came in 12/16/21 right before Christmas so he's had to spend Christmas and New Years without his family. Antler was wiggly and friendly with multiple staff members. He came forward for treats.. He bravely allowed staff to pet on chin. He finally exited kennel on leash! Yay! But still very hesitant in the loud barking environment. Tail wagging slightly, no reactivity to other dogs.. He even enjoyed some pets, he put both paws on lap and asked for more pets from volunteer being very gentle and loving with her. They're recommending older children. No dog evaluation was done, however there is NO reactivity. He would possibly do well with a friendly female with safe separation and slow intro. call or text ‪ ‬
