I just can’t devote enough time to him. I won’t leave Julius with just anyone. You need to pledge the following: (1) Keep him inside your home always. He’s totally an indoor cat—his feet have never touched the ground. (2) Play with him occasionally. It would be great if you have kids who will do that. (3) You will not have him declawed in any way. (4) You will have a video call with me approximately two weeks after you adopt him, so I will be able to assure my kids that he is indeed happy. He does not like to be picked up, but is quite willing to climb onto your lap and snuggle—it just has to be his idea, not yours. Unless he is sleeping or otherwise feeling lazy, he generally tags along with me wherever I go in the house. He (fitfully) obeys a few commands such as “Get back” when I’m entering or leaving the house; “Get down” when I want him to get off a chair; and “Go out” when I want him to leave the bathroom. I assume you can teach him other skills. Comes with ~5-foot cat tower, a ~3-foot tower, and carrying cage for taking him to the vet. I live 5 blocks east of U of I campus.
