JOB DESCRIPTION: Tag Lane Dairy is a progressive dairy farm located in Ixonia, WI. Tag Lane Dairy is looking to fill a maintenance operations manager position. This individual will be responsible for organizing, leading, and supervising a team of technicians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all farm equipment, machinery, and buildings. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Manage, coordinate, and oversee all repairs and routine maintenance of: • Buildings (Gates, free stalls, neck rails, headlocks, fans, curtains, garage doors, water fountains, epoxy flooring, etc.) • Machinery (Skid loaders/attachments, tractors, trucks, trailers, implements, Kubota RTV) • Manure Equipment (Pumps, motors, augers, screens, agitators) 2. Promote a productive and efficient shop environment by performing the following: • Routine cleaning and organizing of all shop tools, parts, and equipment • Ensuring all shop inventory (parts, supplies, etc.,) is completed and accurately documented/logged • Documenting detailed and up-to-date service records for all services/work performed 3. Hire, train, and develop maintenance team, working to cultivate a positive, safe, team-oriented environment focused on delivering high-quality service performance. 4. Anticipate supply and equipment needs to avoid costly delays and/or repairs of farm machinery and equipment. 5. Communicate and collaborate with all other farm departments to execute a weekly maintenance planning process to determine what equipment needs maintenance, the availability of equipment requiring work, and what parts/supplies are necessary to complete repairs. 6. Identify, plan, and implement equipment initiatives to improve production efficiency and decrease labor costs. 7. Prioritize, schedule, and perform maintenance in a manner that maximizes productivity, minimizes equipment downtime, and promotes preventative and predictive maintenance repairs. 8. Develop a culture of safety among maintenance team and identify any potential hazards to avoid injury. QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum 2+ years of previous maintenance/mechanic experience • Knowledge of welding, plumbing, electric • Previous experience operating large farm equipment/vehicles • Valid driver’s license • Self-motivated individual with a goal-oriented mindset • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication with strong leadership skills • Previous experience in a leadership role preferred, but not required • Proficient computer skills (i.e., data entry, online ordering, email, etc.,
