FOUND: stray chicken on Jan 5

If this post is still up, that means the hen hasn’t been claimed. Neighbor brought it to my attn on the afternoon of Jan 5th there was a chicken loose in my driveway. Left a note at another neighbor’s house (they weren’t presently home) on other side of me who has chickens but received no response. After securing my ‘girls’ at sunset, I found her roosting on a low fence on the far side of my garage, drenched from being in the pouring rain (poor girl!). I know you’re not suppose to introduce other’s hens into another flock, but I had no alternative, so I did (secure her in the coop with mine....+ dried her off). She’s being well cared for (+ free ranging during the day), but she’d probably like to be back home (vs being at the bottom of the pecking order). She’s a sweet girl so I’m asking for a description to make sure she’s actually going back to her rightful home (vs becoming someone’s meal!). If yours, you come pick her up. Fastest response: The number I’m giving is an online messaging (Google Voice). If you think this hen is yours, leave a message (text or voicemail) giving a good description of her. I’ll get back to you ASAP if this fits her description. If it doesn’t jive, assume after up to 12 hrs of leaving your msg that it’s not your chicken if I haven’t responded. Email is fine, too, but I probably won’t be able to respond as quickly.
