Filtertrons with a push/pull pot???

Ok, here's a question for the informed masses: I am changing out my guitar's humbuckers for a set of Gretch type "Filtertron" style pickups (clones), but my axe has a push/pull tone pot (for coil splitting the hb's). But I can't imagine why anyone would want the coil split a Filtertron! So here's the question: What alternate wirings (achievable through the push/pull pot) might be beneficial to a Filtertron equipped guitar? Phase? Series/parallel? Any ideas?
