Job description We are a locally owned and operated restaurant equipment supply store looking for passengers to help delivery refrigerators, ovens, and everything else you need for a restaurant. This is a great way to see Portland and see a behind the scenes side of one of the biggest and best restaurant markets in the country. Position Overview: Our Delivery Assistants work directly with our Delivery Drivers to assist on making equipment deliveries to local restaurants. We prepare and set in place equipment for our customers, but do not offer installation. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: · Assist in preparing equipment in our warehouses using small power tools · Properly and safely secure equipment to the trucks for transport · Pull and stage orders before delivery for verification · Assist in offloading equipment from the truck using a liftgate · Setting equipment in place for customers · Removing old/scrap equipment from customers job site · Maintain a clean and orderly truck, including rolling straps and keeping garbage out of the cab · Assist in locating job sites using GPS and visual clues Secondary Job Duties and Responsibilities when Not on a Delivery: · Clean used equipment · Assist in preparing equipment to display on the showroom · Clean and organize the warehouse and showroom Skills/Requirements: · Be able to lift and carry 65+ pounds consistently · Pallet Jack and Forklift experience helps · Ability to self-manage and stay on task · Constantly moving from unloading equipment on the job site · Must be able to communicate with management and customers and be able to exchange accurate information to them from job sites Company Benefits: · Medical · 401k match · 401k profit sharing · PTO · Paid Holidays Hours: Monday - Friday: 8 am to 5 pm Pay: $19 - $23 per hour Job type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday 8-5 Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off 401(k) Profit sharing 401(k) matching
