Join Skål Beer Hall for a five course mead pairing dinner as part of our Valhalla Dinner Series! End a dreary January weekend with our Valhalla Dinner Series! For our next dinner, we welcome our friends from Bellingham, Artivem Mead Co. They'll join us on Sunday 1/23 for a five course dinner and mead pairing worthy of the gods! Artivem is a combination of the Latin words Artis (Art) and Avem (Bird). This blending of words is symbolic of what Artivem Mead Co. stands for: Community and Creativity. The bird is a symbol of community as birds are inescapably associated with groups or flocks: they move together, they survive together, they live life together. We want the same for our community. We are stoked to be featuring a wide range of their meads, most of which have limited availability in the Seattle area. All five courses will include a 3oz mead pour. There will be two sessions at 4p and 730p. The menu for the evening includes: Warm Up: Serrano and Sage Hushpuppies paired with Western BluebirdFrom the Cauldron: Espresso Beef Stew paired with Resplendent QuetzelFrom the Sea: Charred Mackerel with fermented beet root paired with Northern FlickerFrom the Woods: Smoked Turkey with pepitas and cheese grits paired with Eastern Wild TurkeyFrom the Baker: Triple Berry Chocolate Torte paired with Crested OwlYou'll have the opportunity to hear from and engage with Carlos & Micah from Artivem as well as our Executive (bearded) Chef, Jon, in an intimate setting.
