PENINSULAR PEST CONTROL HAS A FLEET MECHANIC OF LIGHT AND MEDIUM DUTY TRUCKS AVAILABLE JOB SUMMARY: This full-time position performs preventive and regular maintenance. Responsible for diagnosis of equipment and repairs, A/C troubleshooting, etc. Knowledge of safety systems, gas and diesel equipment. COMPENSATION: Negotiable with experience REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: • Valid Florida Drivers License. • Pass a thorough background. • High school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years’ experience in light and medium truck repair; or two (2) year technical school certificate plus two (2) years of light-medium truck repair experience. ASE Certification preferred. Must have general knowledge of fuels and lubricants, vehicle and fuel safety procedures and cleaning materials. Additionally must have a thorough knowledge of and be able to: • Perform preventative maintenance and service on fleet of light and medium duty trucks (gas and diesel. • Diagnose and perform automotive repairs. • Adjust operating mechanisms and make small engine and pump repair. • Remove, repair and replace brakes, air valves, oil coolers, radiators, blowers, alternators, fuel pumps, hoses, fuel lines, drive shafts. • Service and repair suspension systems and hydraulic systems. • Service and repair air conditioning systems. Full-Time: Mon. – Fri. Vacation, Holiday, Sick and Birthday Pay. Health Insurance and 401(k) offered.
