Why Be and Why Stay Catholic? Presented by Monsignor Frank P. Lane The past couple of years has been difficult at the least. The world went into chaos through the worldwide pandemic. Unemployment like we have not seen since the Great Depression, racial unrest, places of business destroyed and churches closed. When we come back from this (to a hopefully better normal) while still living in the midst of it, are we prepared? Is the Church one of welcome? Do we lead with love? Why stay? Join Monsignor Frank P. Lane, Ph.D. as he challenges us to these questions and more. Msgr. Lane is a life-long Catholic. He earned his M.A. at, University of Innsbruck, Austria, and was ordained a priest in 1967. He received his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. He has been a pastor, military chaplain, college chaplain, teacher (high school, college & seminary), writer, and translator-and most likely more. Due to staffing shortages in the restaurant industry, there will be no Catholic Conversations in January. We do ask that you pre-register for this event due to the expected attendance. Registration will be closed when we have reached capacity for the space. Join us for our monthly conversation on current topics, trends, the Bible, and more all from a Catholic perspective. The event is free to attend you just pay for your food and drink of choice. Open to all adults 21 and over. We meet from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a social time, speaker, and Q&A. Connect with one another and bring our Catholic faith and conversation into our community.
