We are one of the largest roofing contractors in Florida with 500+ employees and 5 offices across the state has an opening for a Project Manager. We serve Central, South and Southwest Florida, specializing in new construction, re-roof, maintenance and all your roof service needs. General Description: The Construction Manager is responsible for management of crews on job sites, customer service in the field, and overall oversight of jobs. They ensure that the jobs are completed in within scope and executed in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems and requirements of the Company and contract. Duties: •Plan and advise Officers on long-range plans of the facility to optimize growth and profitability •Review and maintain organizational structure and staffing needs to ensure an effective and economical operation •Develop and administer budgets, review results versus plan, identifies problem accounts and implements corrective action •Identify inefficiencies in material, labor, subcontractor, equipment costs for cost reductions and process improvement efforts •Manage project administration and field Superintendents and/or Project Managers in the Sarasota, Fort Myers and/or Miami branches (insurance requirements, engineering, permit, submittals, individual project safety requirements, scheduling, purchasing) •Maintain, track, and account for fleet, tools, and equipment through Smart Sheet Scheduling Software. •Inventory management and tracking of materials, warehouse/trailer organization •Walk roofs for quality control inspections and ensure manufacturer warranties are completed •Maintain production schedule with dated job phases and coordinate subcontractors accordingly •Manage daily/weekly payroll reports to ensure labor costs do not exceed budget •Conduct hand-off meetings between sales, admin and production on all projects. •Coordinate/attend preconstruction meetings to facilitate other trade requirements on jobs •Make quarterly and annual budgets for equipment and vehicles •Direct, delegate and control administrative staff work related activities •Evaluate staff performance and implement adjustments to maintain branch stability •Complete performance evaluations for all staff reporting to you •Effectively communicate safety policies and keep our production crews 100% OSHA compliant •Ensure project managers are completing weekly toolbox talks and safety equipment checks •Manage crew incident and disciplinary action reports to ensure field workers are complying with protocol •Hold weekly production meeting to review tasks completed, change orders, shortages, crew needs, equipment needs, work-in-process, permitting •Communicate with customer and production for scheduling and handoff oversight Requirements: •Hands-on and has the ability to fix it today. •Present a professional demeanor at all times. •Good communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time. •Knowledge of roof details & installations experience in field management. •Strong management and organizational skills •OSHA, roofing and construction safety knowledge •Ability to identify and troubleshoot roof leaks Day-to-day management of all aspects of commercial roofing projects to ensure quality standards, budgets, and scheduling timelines are met. •Minimum of 3 years of residential or commercial roofing knowledge •Knowledge of roof repairs and maintenance programs •Have a VALID Florida License and good driving record. •Able to prioritize tasks and available nights/weekends to take calls and/or respond to warranty requests. •Have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. •Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate clearly with various departments •Project management experience and time-management skills. •Good computer skills (Word and Excel) for generating reports, extracting data, and sharing this information with other team members in project updates.
