Job Description The primary functions of this position are to service stalls daily and the disposing of manure. This process is done by dumping manure waste on to the concrete pad and then into the manure containers daily.as required by club guidelines and their environmental practices. Some duties required of the position are to unload deliveries of hay and shavings as they are delivered and unloaded to the conveyor which then makes their way into the barns, and support stables and riding staff as needed. This staffer works within the schedule set up by the manager. You must provide professional service to members at all times, work as a team with all employees of the club, maintain confidentiality of club business, and report to work as scheduled by the Manager. This job requires adhering to the environmental practices in place by the club as horse waste must not get into the wetlands and stream on Hunt Club property. Summary of essential job functions • Clean & service all stalls as trained by a supervisor • If you remove a horse to crossties when cleaning their stall you must face the horse to the front of the barn for their safety and for all those people walking through the barns. • Change Bedding daily as instructed by a supervisor • Shavings bags are to be saved and placed in the designated areas, currently on the small enclosure by the vet shed. • Sweep all barn aisles completely after stall cleaning leaving the barn neat and tidy • Assist with unloading the delivery of hay & shavings on the days outlined by the supervisor • Work as a team member with all stall cleaners and all stables staff. • This job requires a start time of no later than 6 a.m. SHARP and completed by 1 p.m. with a ½ hour lunch break • Smoking in the barns & buildings is prohibited Minimum requirements No specific education requirements for this position. Experience working with horses preferred but will train qualified individual. Abilities required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, ability to operate power tools and light machinery. Must be able to work overtime as needed. COVID guidelines in place will need to be followed.
